Tom Cruise would be creepy on his own if he wasn't so short, but putting a pair of fake fangs on him and paling up his complexion didn't exactly make him a terrifying vampire. In Interview with a Vampire, Cruise eats a poodle, if I remember right, and loves watching movies of the sun coming up. And he's all cryhappy when a little girl vampire dies. I'll just say it, Vampires in Interview are kind of wussy, in the way that Gatorade is kind of a sports drink.

To understand why vampires are in the limelight of cult activity, you have to take a few factors into perspective. The first thing and by far the most influential factor as to why vampires are so popular nowadays is the Twilight series. The book series features a love romance between a century old vampire, and an everyday normal teenage girl. That one romance is the reason why so many teenage girls are found to be captivated by the series, and why lovers of time told romance stories of the love that cannot be are brought into reading the novels.
